• The will meet at 7:30 p.m. at Ridgeway Elementary School for its regular monthly meeting.

Thursday, Jan. 19

• Lakehurst's borough council will meet at the community center on Center Street at 7:30 p.m. 
• A dietitian will host a 2 p.m. discussion and cooking demonstration at Manchester's branch of the Ocean County Library for those interested in making healthy meals without spending too much money. Call 732-657-7600 for more information.

Friday, Jan. 20

• Players of all ages and skill levels are invited to attend the Chess Club at  from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The library asks that participants bring their own boards. Call 732-657-7600 for more information.
• High school students will have early dismissal as they complete midterm exams.

Saturday, Jan. 21

• The Music with Friends: Musical Fun for Kids with Autism program will begin at 1 p.m. at Manchester's branch of the Ocean County Library. Children under age 9 and their parents are welcome. More information is available by calling 732-657-7600.
