Weekly Planner: Kevin's Kids Deadline, Planning and Zoning Board Meetings and Holiday Events

Monday, Dec. 5

• Manchester's Planning Board will meet at 7 p.m. at the municipal complex on Colonial Drive. The board will continue to discuss . 

Tuesday, Dec. 6

• The Hawks boys and girls bowlers will compete against Toms River South, 3 p.m. at Ocean Lanes in Lakewood. 
• YMCA program information for participants of all ages will be available at the County Connection in the Ocean County Mall from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

Wednesday, Dec. 7

• The parents of  students are invited to the Parent Advisory Council meeting, 6:30 p.m. in the school's media center. Parents can discuss school happenings with Principal Alexander George. 
• The Ocean County Christmas tree lighting will be held at the administration building on Hooper Avenue at 4:45 p.m. Refreshments will follow. Call 732-929-2000 for more information. 

Thursday, Dec. 8

• Manchester's zoning board will meet in the auditorium of Manchester Township High School at 7 p.m. The  for a proposed skilled nursing facility will continue to be heard.
• Blood pressure screenings will be given at the County Connection office in the Ocean County Mall from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. 
• Ocean County's Historical Society will host a Victorian Christmas Tea at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. at its Hadley Avenue location. Call 732-341-1880 for more information and to make a reservation. 
• "Christmas of Swing" will be performed at Ocean County College's Arts and Community Center at 2 p.m. For more information on the family show, which harkens back to 1944, call 609-312-8306.

Friday, Dec. 9

• Friday marks the last day that donations will be accepted for the school district's Kevin's Kids holiday to drive. More information on how you can donate is available online. 
• "Irish Christmas in America" will be staged at 8 p.m. at the Strand Center for the Arts in Lakewood. Call 732-367-7789 for ticket information. 
• Free stroke screenings will be provided at the Ocean County Connection office in the Ocean County Mall beginning at 9:30 a.m. Call 732-288-7777 to make an appointment. 
• The Hawks boys and girls bowling teams will travel to Ocean Lanes for 3 p.m. matches against Lakewood High School. 

Saturday, Dec. 10

• Kevin's Kids volunteers will head out to the stores to shop for toys for families in need. 
• The South Jersey Singles bowling tournament kicks off at 12:30 p.m. at Ocean Lanes in Lakewood.
