Snooki, JWow Head to Berkeley

Snooki and JWow - Berkeley edition?

That's the word from several media outlets and Berkeley Council President James Byrnes, who this morning confirmed he was headed over to a property on Pelican Island that MTV has reportedly rented for none other than Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jennifer "JWow" Farley and their "Jersey Shore" MTV spinoff show.

Byrnes said the Council has "got some stuff in progress," to address filming of the show.

He declined to elaborate, but Berkeley Township Mayor Carmen Amato yesterday told the Star Ledger: “in light of this recent development, I have asked our attorney to draft an ordinance that will be introduced at our next council meeting.”

Amato was not immediately available for comment this morning.

Last year, the spinoff show filmed in Manchester Township, and town officials described the pair as "quiet neighbors," despite their notorious antics on the show.
