Local Gas Prices Continue to Fall

Prices down 7 cents from a week ago

Area gas prices continue to drop, as the local average price for a gallon of regular is now $3.27, a 7-cent decrease from the same time last week.

Oil prices had been dropping over the last several week on less than encouraging economic news. However, late week trading saw oil climb over $82 a barrel after reports show that U.S. GDP growth was higher than expected.

This represents the fourth consecutive week that prices have fallen in the area.

Manchester and Lakehurst residents are paying twelve cents less than the average Garden State driver, as the New Jersey average for a gallon of regular is $3.39, also according to AAA.
