Defamation Complaint Against Mayor Fressola Fails

Fressola was accused of defaming Henry Dudley, who has served as the Planning Committee chairman of the Manchester Republican Club

A defamation suit filed against Mayor Michael Fressola was not successful.

The Ocean County court system decided Wednesday that Henry Dudley, a frequent critic of the mayor, did not have a sufficient case for defamation.

Fressola was accused of defaming Henry Dudley, who has served as the Planning Committee Chairman of the Manchester Republican Club.

Fressola have long been at odds, with the mayor recently feeling compelled to fight back against claims that his office has ethics problems.

Fressola noted posts on the Manchester Patch that showed how he paid $100, but did not admit guilt for improperly using the address and telephone number of Manchester City Hall in a political mailing piece.

The fine was levied after the mayor won re-election in 2010.

DUDLEY FOR MAYOR! Keep fighting Henry Dudley, Please appeal if you can. Michael Fressola has done nothing for the township of Manchester outside the walls of the senior communities and I think I speak for many of the residents (outside senior living) when I say WE DO NOT WANT THIS MAN TO REPRESENT US ANYMORE! If I am wrong and you can name one good thing this man has ever done for us non-seniors please correct me.

When you have 4 or 5 hours to spare and your not afraid to disclose who you are hiding behind a phony name, which sounds to me like you made a great choice of names, come on in to see me and i will give the list of accomplishments that benefit all and I do mean all residents. But of course you don't have the courage to accept my offer, but never the less it stands

Mr. Mayor, It is obvious that anonymous attacks bother you a great deal, and to some extent I can see why (although in doing so, you choose to ignore the reality that exists now in society’s methods of communication). What I don’t understand is why you continue to want to handle it via a “come-say-it-to-my face” defense. In the time it took you to lay down that gauntlet, you could have thrown out a few accomplishments which would have been much more efficient in shutting him down, and maybe stave off a few other comments. If someone questions your accomplishments to non-senior areas, or questions actions taken after contributions from United Water, Clayton, and Pizzi builders, or any other question or claim; let them know where they are wrong on the same stage where it was raised.

Thank god someone can see this besides me. Thank you WhitingBoy, I have said the same thing over and over but never get an answer. It’s always the “come down here" attitude. Seems like mike spends a lot of time on here, shouldn’t he be working on our behalf? I mean we are paying this man right?

Mike, lets talk about the names we choose on the patch, I did notice that in your name it DOES NOT say Mayor Michael Fressola, Is that because deep down inside you know that you should NOT be the mayor?

First of all i am not even sure that this is the MAYOR on here, cause i ve seen him write the phrase F2F which is text for face to face. Not sure if he would know that or not. Secondly i find it hard to believe that a Mayor would be soo unprofessional as to speake to people in that way. If im wrong i wouldnt be shocked either..

I have been told over and over this is the real mayor, you should not be shocked but you should be enraged.

Mike, how do you feel about re-testing seniors? at what point does saving peoples lives become more important than votes? or do you just not care?
