Four Injured In Manchester Crash

One car entered an intersection and was impacted on the driver's side by a 2005 BMW 300xi

Four people were injured in a Wednesday car crash on Route 70, police said.

At 9:48 a.m., at the intersection of Wilbur Avenue, a1998 Ford Escort operated by Ana Gil, 30, of Brick was stopped at the stop sign on Wilbur Avenue.

Gil entered the intersection and was impacted on the driver’s side by a 2005 BMW 300xi, which was operated westbound on Route 70 by April Cardell, 30, of Lakehurst, NJ.

The impact forced Gil’s vehicle to rotate counterclockwise and came to final rest in the east bound lane of NJ Route 70, police said. 

Gil was traveling with Angelica Perez and Rosa Hernandez, police said. All three were transported to Brick Hospital and were treated and released for minor injuries, police said.

Cardell was traveling alone and transported to Kimball Medical Center for her injuries.

Assisting at the scene were, Manchester Vol. Fire Dept., Quality First Aid, and MONOC Paramedics.  The crash is under investigation by Ptl. Douglas Higgins of the Manchester Traffic Safety Section.
