Leisure Village West Giving To Those In Need

Group presenting $25,500 check to mayor that will benefit the hungry

Leisure Village West is giving money to people who are hungry.

A check for $25,500 will be presented to Manchester Mayor Michael Fressola on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Leisure Village West Willow Hall.

The money will be for the Ocean County Hunger Relief Program, and the Food Bank of Ocean and Monmouth County.

Charles L. Frattini, a spokesman for the group, said the check "can be used however both charities decide would serve the best interest of those in need."

He did not know which interests could be served, but he acknowledged that Hurricane Sandy victims could benefit.
