A man was arrested Saturday after he resisted arrest, and possibly caused a Manchester police officer to injure his wrist, police said.
James C. McGrath was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing justice, police said.
At 11:42 a.m., Officers Jesse Hoydis and Micheal Anderson responded to 13 A Buckingham Drive to serve a warrant from the Lacey Township Police Department, police said.
Upon arrival the officers observed the wanted man, McGrath, inside the residence and knocked on the door for approximately 10 minutes before he would answer, police said.
Once inside the residence, McGrath was told about the warrant for a violation of a restraining order. The suspect argued with the officers and refused to place his hands behind his back, police said.
During the ensuing struggle, the officers and McGrath landed on the ground. Hoydis suffered a minor injury to his left wrist, police said.
McGrath was taken into custody on $5,000 in bail and then released, pending a court appearance, police said.
