Manchester Updating Emergency Notification System

Police Department is involved in update

The Manchester Office of Emergency Management is in the process of updating information in the Township’s Emergency Notification System.

The Emergency Notification System is used to notify Manchester residents of both emergencies and closings through land line phone numbers acquired from Verizon. But there is no such database for cellular telephone numbers

For that reason, if Manchester residents wish to add their cellular phone numbers to the Emergency Notification Call list, they may do so by accessing the Emergency Management link of the Manchester Police Division website at: http://www.manchesterpolicenj.com/emergency-notification-system.

Once on the webpage, the resident will then be required to set up a username and password. After registering, the resident will be directed to a form which must be filled out and then submitted by clicking the “add my information” tab

Access to this form may also be obtained by visiting the Manchester Police Division website at www.manchesterpolicenj.com and clicking on the Emergency Management link or by accessing the Manchester Township website at www.manchestertwp.com and clicking on the “Police” tab, then the emergency management link.

Manchester residents who do not have Internet access or would rather fill the form out in person may do so by requesting one at the records section of the police division, located at 1 Colonial Drive.

Any questions regarding the process can be directed to the Manchester Emergency Management Coordinator, Arthur Abline at 732-657-2009 extension 4604.
