Mayor Fressola Inducted Into Hall Of Fame For Elected Officials

Fressola was inducted during the Twenty-First Annual Mayors Legislative Day Wednesday at the State House Annex in Trenton

The New Jersey State League of Municipalities inducted Mayor Michael Fressola into the Elected Officials Hall of Fame during the Twenty-First Annual Mayors Legislative Day Wednesday at the State House Annex in Trenton.

The honor is reserved for local municipal governing body members who, as of December 2012, served for more than twenty years in elected municipal office.  Mayor Michael Fressola has served Manchester Township for twenty years.

The president of the State League of Municipalities, Mayor Janice S. Mironov of East Windsor Township, said, “The Elected Officials Hall of Fame recognizes these officials who have selflessly guided their communities through the good times and difficult times often with little recognition of their public service.  This small token of appreciation focuses a light on their sacrifices over lengthy tenures, demonstrating how much they care and serving as excellent examples of civic pride for all citizens to emulate.”

There are currently 510 inductees in the Elected Officials Hall of Fame, which can be viewed at www.njslom.com

Must be a pretty low bar.

Maybe the honor is that he has served more than 20-years before being caught violating Government Ethics Law? Wait a minute...Isn't Fressola part of the "GOOD GOVERNMENT TEAM"?! Hmm...

"The honor is reserved for local municipal governing body members who, as of 12/12 served MORE THAN twenty years in elected municipal office. Mayor Fressola has served Manchester Township for twenty years." Shouldn't they have waited for MORE THAN twenty before induction? Not to mention what a poor mayor he has been...low bar indeed.

A disgrace

"The Elected Officials Hall of Fame recognizes these officials who have selflessly guided their communities through the good times and difficult times often with little recognition of their public service." I guess the author of this part of the article knows something about little recognition. This article begins with the words "FROM THE DESK OF THE MAYOR". Our beloved mayor must have felt the need to "toot his own horn" (does (or did) anyone else (feel/felt) the need to toot the mayor's horn?). Is the reassessing/lowering of the property values and then managing to raise the amount of property taxes that people will have to pay part of the "good times" or part of the "difficult" times? Can someone inform me of where I might find a copy of the Manchester Township official "dictionary"? I wish to read the official Manchester Township definition of "Good Government"

DUDLEY FOR MAYOR! Keep fighting Henry Dudley, Please appeal if you can. Michael Fressola has done nothing for the township of Manchester outside the walls of the senior communities and I think I speak for many of the residents (outside senior living) when I say WE DO NOT WANT THIS MAN TO REPRESENT US ANYMORE! If I am wrong and you can name one good thing this man has ever done for us non-seniors please correct me.

Dear Mr/Mrs/Ms Despicalbe, Due to circumstances beyond my control, I live i a senior community in Manchester, which I have lived in for over 10 years now. From my vantage point, I can not see where Mayor Fressola has done much good for Manchester's seniors either. Is it possible to put a "premanent structure" house up on wheels? All this to say to the non-seniors of Manchester "You Are Not Alone".
