Group home patient Richard B. Heydorn, 56, found in Manhattan

A Manchester man recently reported as missing has been located alive in New York City, said the Manchester Township Police Department.

"On December 28, 2013, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Richard Heydorn, the missing 56 year-old patient of the Fresh Start Group Home in Whiting was located in Manhattan, New York City," said Lt. Vincent Manco of the Manchester Police.

Heydorn was subsequently taken to a New York City hospital for treatment.

"The Manchester Police Division would like to thank all agencies that assisted in the search for Mr. Heydorn," said Manco.

Heydorn had been reported missing on Dec. 18. Police believe that he may have walked away from the group home.

Wonder who took him to nyc to begin with. I drive fora transportation company in ocean county but we are not responsible for missing ppl. If they come from group home they need to have someone go with them. Either way transport is not responsible for ppl that go MIA

perhaps he just got a bus on his own. he left the group home by himself, so he could have feasibly gone anywhere. I don't think anyone is blaming a transporation company.
