What a f..'n waste. Nothing wrong with bringing passion into your arguments but most of these comments are nothing but insults and name calling. My time will be better spent watching an infomercial.
Michael Hendrickson January 3, 2013 at 12:22 pm
Jerseyswamp You can thank mr rizzo and all his aliases that he uses just to get his point across..He has ruined multiple threads with his angry and insulting posts..Unfortunately he gives posters no choice but to defend themselves

Geeez!!! Some of you need to look in your own backyard!!
FDR January 3, 2013 at 01:03 pm
So many are doing the same thing! Take a deep breath, it could be anyone. I love it when those who are guessing are wrong. I am sure more agree with frank rizzo than you think even though you don't want others to think they do.

It took me 6 Months to obtain a NJ Firearm ID card. Does it take that long before you can buy Ammonium Nitrate fertilizer and Diesel?
You are suffering from Rectal-Cranial Inversion! ( For the less literate, that's when your head is up your a$$....
A Polymath January 3, 2013 at 05:38 pm
New laws won't be retro? The NJ "assault weapon" ban made the possession of certain weapons and magazine over 15 rounds ILLEGAL. Lawfully purchased items were declared VERBOTEN and possession was made a crime. The Constitutional right to private property was shredded.... In California, the law banned future purchases, but items that were legally obtained were grandfathered and remained legal to own. Here anyones property was criminalized if they owned such things...
A Polymath January 3, 2013 at 05:50 pm
The last mall shooting in California ended when a citizen with a legal handgun approached the AR wielding nutjob. Not a cop or security guard. When he faced an armed threat, the loony turned his gun on himself and terminated the incident. Only 2 innocents were hit. If not for the armed citizen who selflessly intervened, that could have been very much worse.
George Murphy January 4, 2013 at 01:38 am
...and, too many wrong hands. Period!
George Murphy January 4, 2013 at 01:40 am
No Elaine, they only have the right to "bare" hands.
Mark Wendell January 4, 2013 at 01:48 am
@Spooner, So your saying we had a constitution BEFORE we declared our
freedom and then fought a revolution to gain that independence?
George Murphy January 4, 2013 at 01:50 am
That's correct Dave. Just do it right and they should have no reason to say a word. Whatever the 'left' says, I tend to seek the opposite for the good of the order.
Mark Wendell January 4, 2013 at 01:56 am
No you asked frank rizzo to give you the legal def of assault weapon, you said it was made up by the media. You said it had no legal meaning. You said those weapons did not exsist. Than I state the wording of the federal law showing the words in it you asked frank about and then you add to it by stating even more words used in the law to define the term assault weapon.
Mark Wendell January 4, 2013 at 02:09 am
Yup folks that's all they got when presented with facts, they call you moron, idiot, weenie, an old diaper wearing man, drug user and a drunk. They compare you with nazi's and call you a socialist after collecting their medicare, driving on the roads, over the bridges and using the libraries that socialism brings them. Ok maybe not the libraries. Education to the right is a bad thing. Just look at the south. But the worst is that they show up after some people put their own anti gun feelings down and they rip them up for doing so making fun of their screen names and trying to figure out when they themselves use fake names.
George Murphy January 4, 2013 at 03:08 am
This back-and-forth about guns is superfluous. Perhaps we might re-register all weapons, but not remove them from responsible citizens. In the several photgraphs I had seen of Nancy Lanza, I would say that there are some deep-seeded issues.
The possibility of incest with this family has crossed my mind. Now I said, 'crossed my mind;' I did not say for sure - just a thought. Our first and foremost (possibly only real) right, is life itself. Anything else is an extra, a perk, a privilege, but not a guarantee. This may seem a bit too far fetched, but no one has the right to take it away. Yet the 'left' does nothing to protect it, with the exception of violent criminals. I'm reminded of something that Dr. D. James Kennedy stated some years ago, "We have become a nation that kills babies, and babies killers." We have gotten way off the purpose of these postings regarding the shooting in Lakewood. But here we are once more, no information except the fact that they protect the guilty by not listing his/her name.
George Murphy January 4, 2013 at 03:13 am
ET - Absolutely. I asked the same thing. I guess we must continue with business as usual: Protect the guilty.
George Murphy January 4, 2013 at 03:16 am
Yes you are Dee! It's like the game of Telephone, which elementary school-aged children play on rainy days: It starts out one way and, well, you know how it ends up?
George Murphy January 4, 2013 at 03:28 am
John - Great post! I would like to see a bit more civility and less foul-mouth activity, which seems to pour forth from the other side of the backyard fence.
George Murphy January 4, 2013 at 03:36 am
Exactly, Wally! The American Revolving Door Justice System. You see, if they would take this person out to the public square and give him/her thirty lashes minus one - in public view - then we would begin to heal our land. But, crime is a big business that employs millions upon millions of folks from rent-a-cops right on up to Eric Holder. And who pays for it? (Including flat-screen TVs in some correctional facilities)

Wow! 245 comments on an article that simply says someone was shot. It's amazing how much everyone can read into it.

Hi Patch! Where is my comment/response? I submitted it on Mon. 5/27 and it was not nearly asRead More inflammatory as some I have seen, just concerned and inquisitive. It read as "pending" after I submitted it (who makes that judgement, I do not know) so I am curious...

You would do good if your were silent. You make very little sense and misstated the facts in justRead More about everything you said from landfill stickers to recycling to water revenue. What about when you needed a job, who gave you one? With the Director gone work will start going to contractors again. Everyone will pay. Taxpayers and employees. Did you read the article he wrote? If you didn't maybe you should. You too, nobody special. Who hired you? You will be picking up trash real soon. Are you going to grieve that too?

Director Stanziano has been singing the praises of his workers for years. Did you read ANY of theRead More past articles on the Patch and in Manchester Times? How about his articles in magazines with pictures of his workers? He wrote about how his workers saved the town money. HE got them all raises, NOT the union. Yes let's start with TOP HEAVY supervision. Start at the TOP on the 2nd floor of town hall. Time to cut some of the FAT!
