The Manchester Hawks cheerleaders will hold a fundraiser Sunday to help one of their own who’s battling cancer at just 15 years old.
Alexis Mills was diagnosed in July and just had an operation to treat cancer in her mouth, and the Hawks are working to help defray the cost of her treatment.
The Hawks will have a bake sale to go with the football teams’ friendship games, starting at 9 a.m. Sunday at the sports complex on Ridgeway Road and running through the course of the day.
All the proceeds of the bake sale and a raffle will go to the Mills family.
Donations are also being accepted online at the Alexis Mills cancer treatment fund.
