Are Snooki and JWoww Headed to Manchester?

Rumors abound, but no official confirmation from show producers

Reports are swirling that MTV stars Snooki and JWoww may be headed to Manchester.

Multiple residents who live on or near Johnson Avenue have written in to Patch to say that they've seen trucks and other vehicles with New York license plates at a home near the township's POW-MIA Park, supposedly gearing up for filming of "Snooki & JWoww," a "Jersey Shore" spinoff.

Manchester Mayor Michael Fressola said that he spoke with the owner of the alleged filming site, a large, modern two-story home, who said that a deal to lease the property for the production was in the works. Fressola could not confirm that such a deal was executed, however.

When contacted by Patch, the owner of the property declined to confirm that the home had been leased out for production of the show and deferred questions to Fressola.

No one from MTV has contacted the township about the shoot, Fressola said. Unlike other municipalities, such as Toms River where , nothing in Manchester's code excludes the MTV show, or any production, from shooting in a neighborhood. Producers also do not need a permit to shoot in town.

If Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jennifer "JWoww" Farley are headed to Manchester, Fressola has one request.

"The only thing I can insist upon is that they be good neighbors," he said.

Fressola said that he was told by the property owner that shooting would take place "to a very great extent in the interior" of the home and will be completed in October.

The show's producer and a production coordinator at MTV did not immediately return requests to confirm that filming will be done in Manchester.

@Scott Neuman. I dont think we are in danger of losing our AAA rating. We have the rating thanks to CURRENT fiscal policies. I hope for your sake your party has a more comprehensive way to get their word out than the Patch comment section. Back on subject, I feel bad for that neighbor hood. Those girls parents must be real proud......

Its so funny that people are posting comments from Toms River that only a trash town would allow these 2 girls to film in Manchester ever heard of Gilford Park in Toms River? Or better yet, South Toms River that is where all the trash is! Poor people living in section 8 housing but you would know you are proubly one of them. Manchester may be quiet but far from trash there are mostly seniors there with $$$ and young working professionals. Pt.Pleasant people think they are in Briele or Spring Lake yet they are trash too with people shitting and pissing on their lawn LMFAO get over it! For those of you who dont like it too f****** bad!

I did not know this skank had a house in Toms River. Well I am not sure which part of town it is, but there goes the neighborhood for sure. Why don't they just stay in New York where they belong
Ken August 12, 2012 at 04:45 PM
@ ed crowley...what morals do any of them from the jersey shore have??? Do you consider the fact they constantly get drunk, have sex with anyone they can find and make a game of it, they get in fights and get arrested and basically all act like jacka***s being moral????

Shame on you for calling poor people trash. South Toms river is a wonderful small diversified community. I lived there for 20 years as a middle class income family and raised wonderful children who have grown to be productive and moral adults. I now live in Manchester 3 houses down from where Snookie and JWoww are moving in and they should be given a fair chance.

YAY! Manchester residents finally will have somebody to look down upon. It sucks always having to look up.

Talk about low self esteem. I love Manchester. I moved here 18 years ago from Kendall Park. I bought my first home here. I'm raising my family here. The school system and natural resources are amazing. I couldn't ask for better neighbors. I created my businesses around this area. I see no benefit to moving somewhere else in state. I'm an easy commute into Manhattan, a quick drive to the shore. Parks everywhere. I like my view of Manchester.
Reality Check August 13, 2012 at 03:54 PM
This is all so hysterical... I can't believe people are sooooo worried about 2 little girls that were lucky enough to find a way to cash in. Who are you all to judge? Jealousy is what's trashy. I lived in Manchester for 20 years, my parents and my in-laws are still there. And I hate to break it to everybody but, there isn't anything to do in Manchester... every kid in town leaves there to find fun in Seaside- which is what I'm sure is going to be the case here. Take a reality check here people, the Ball-Buster cops of Manchester SURELY will not be putting up with any interference from these two. GUARANTEED. They're just parking their asses in the closest town to the shore that they can, nobody will probably even see them. I live in New Egypt up the street from Deena and there's no paparazzi or fans lining the streets over here. Have a little faith in the police there. If they'll harass residents for having an unregistered vehicle on their own property, I'm sure they will have no problem handling 2 dingbat girls. Give me a break people, they're not gonna change Manchester from a quiet residential community to the sewer that Seaside has always been, it was that way before they showed up and it will stay that way when they're gone. It's the same for Manchester, 2 girls can't change an entire community. Puh-leez.

TOO FUNNY HOW PEOPLE SAY "ONLY A TRASH TOWN" WOULD WANT THESE TWO FILMING THERE AND THATS WHY TOMS RIVER AND PT.PLEASANT REJECTED THEM. TOMS RIVER IS KNOWN FOR ITS WHITE TRASH IN GILFORD PARK ESPECIALLY SEEMS LIKE THEY ALL FLOCK THERE TO THEIR FILTHY LITTLE TINY HOUSES AND THEY COME OUT ONCE A MONTH WEHN THEY GET THIER FOODSTAMPS AND WELFARE IT IS THE MOST DISGUSTING FILTHY PART OF TOMS RIVER! AND, PT. PLEASANT PLEASE! THEY THINK THEY ARE BETTER THEN EVERYBODY ELSE WHAT ABOUT ALL YOUR ROOMING HOUSES THAT YOU CROUD ALL THE POOR POEPLE IN? THEY TINK IT IS BRIELLE OR SPRING LAKE YET THEY CRY AND BITCH THAT PEOPLE SHIT AND PISS ALL OVER THEIR LAWN...LMFAO WHO REALLY CARES WHERE THESE TWO FILM BUT FOR PEOPLE TO THINK THAT TOMS RIVER OUT OF ALL PLACES IS A GOOD PLACE LOOK AROUND YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD AND DRIVE PAST GILFORD PARK WAIVE HELLO TO THE POOR WHITE TRASH WITH NO TEETH AND WALMART CLOTHING! AND PT.PLEASANT PEOPLE YOU ARE THE GHETTO VERSION OF SPRING LAKE LMFAO DONT BOTHER TO REPLY BECAUSE I DONT REALLY GIVE A F*** WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY ITS THE TRUTH. MANCHESTER IS FILLED WITH MOSTLY SENIOR PEOPLE THAT HAVE $$$ AND HUGE EXPENSIVE HOUSES (BESIDES THE TRAILER PARKS) OF COURSE.

You need to see a doctor, you need to get medicated. You sound like an idiot!
onthecuff August 13, 2012 at 11:30 PM
Good Question. Maybe they needed somewhere not so wild, because Snooki is pregnant, but I agree why Manchester? Unless it was a last resort because no other towns want them and the filming crew found a way to film in a town that does not have any ordinances regarding.......
onthecuff August 13, 2012 at 11:34 PM
I feel bad for you. It's like one day you wake up and your world is completely rocked. And you never know what stalking nuts are out there ect. Sorry that you will have to go through this, but hopefully it will be over before you know it.
Working Mom August 14, 2012 at 12:13 PM
I'm not concerned that they are going to somehow ruin Manchester, but it is annoying. We haven't seen any of the cast members yet, and they are not the ones I'm worried about. Already we have to deal with people driving up and down our cul de sac who don't belong there, and we've had teenagers cutting between our houses to try to get a look at their back yard. There have been no police around whatsoever. If all remains quiet, they can film to their heart's content. I just don't want people invading my property and quiet street. This is the reality of what a show like this brings. Fortunately, it will only be for a couple of months.
Working Mom August 14, 2012 at 12:16 PM
For the record - Toms River was not asked if they could film and rejected them. Toms River has an ordinance on the books that says no filming in a residential area. That was signed into law after the filming of Amityville Horror because it created a big distraction and issues with traffic, etc. All towns have trashy areas and all have their nicer areas. There is no need to bash each other. It is what it is.
Working Mom August 14, 2012 at 12:19 PM
There are a lot worse things to worry about in this world, but that's easy to say when it's not right in your face. So far, it hasn't been too bad - a few trespassers. It may get worse though. Hopefully, they'll do their thing and leave without too much noise.
Working Mom August 14, 2012 at 12:20 PM
I don't hate anyone - just don't want any trouble either. I totally agree that they are famous because people watch them - a sad commentary on our society in my opinion.
Working Mom August 14, 2012 at 12:23 PM
I wish I could take off work for that length of time, but unfortunately, no one else will pay my mortgage in the meantime. I do teach my children good, biblical morals, and they are disgusted with the whole thing also. I just don't need the inconvenience of dealing with it.
Working Mom August 14, 2012 at 12:25 PM
Unfortunately, they haven't broken any laws yet, so there is nothing the town can do right now. They could sign an ordinance to prevent filming in the future, but I doubt that would happen quickly enough to stop this show.
Working Mom August 14, 2012 at 12:27 PM
Money is not everything - in fact, it is often the problem.
Working Mom August 14, 2012 at 12:35 PM
Be careful of using labels. I'm a christian (and I do go to church), and I don't hate anyone, and I'm not judging anyone. I do have the right to day that I don't agree with their morals. That being said, that's their business - it's a free country, thank God. I just don't want my quiet neighborhood disturbed. I don't agree with all the hateful comments on here calling people trash and putting people down - that's not right either.
Scott Neuman August 14, 2012 at 12:50 PM
Time for a filming permit law.
