Ocean County Man Finds Unique Way to Rebuild After Sandy

Chris Segarra teaches us a lesson in ingenuity.

A Brick Township man who grew up in Verona came up with a unique way to rebuild after losing his home to Superstorm Sandy, ABC reports.

When Chris Segarra could not afford to rebuild on his Shore Acres property, he struck a deal with a nearby resident who was planning to demolish his storm-damaged house, according to the report. Segarra purchased the cottage for $1 and had it towed to his property where he will be able to restore it.

Watch the video to see Segarra's new home and learn how he used his boat to help others in the aftermath of the storm.
