Monday, Aug. 27

  •  Township Council will meet for its second of two regular meetings in August at 6 p.m. in the Municipal Complex courtroom.

  • A Nintendo "Smash Brothers" tournament for children ages 10-14 will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Manchester's branch of the Ocean County Library. Call 732-657-7600 to register. 

Wednesday, Aug. 29

  • Tours of Manchester Township High School will be given to 6th grade students from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 6 to 8 p.m.
  • The film screenings at  of the Ocean County Library continue at 2 and 6 p.m. with "Safe House." The R-rated thriller runs for 112 minutes.

Friday, Aug. 31

  • The Lakewood BlueClaws will face the Greensboro Grasshoppers for a 7:05 p.m. game at FirstEnergy Park. A fireworks display follows the game. Call 732-901-7000 for ticket information. 

Sunday, Sept. 2

  • It's the final day of the shoppers to pick up goods at the Lakehurst Farmer's Market. Vendors will be at Lake Horicon from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to end the inaugural season of the market.
