Monday, July 2

Manchester's Planning Board will meet for its regular July meeting at 7 p.m. in the Municipal Complex courtroom. The agenda, which includes a site plan amendment for Building on the Rock Community Church, is available online

Tuesday, July 3

The Writer's Circle will meet at  from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The group allows aspiring and accomplished writers to share tips and critique each other's works. Call 732-657-7600 for more information.

Wednesday, July 4

Lakehurst will hold its Independence Day celebration on Wednesday, July 4, beginning with a classic car show 9 a.m. at the borough's elementary school grounds. A parade will march on Union Avenue in the borough's downtown at 11 a.m., and a fireworks display will begin at  at dusk. 

Thursday, July 5

The classic film "Jaws" will be shown on the Seaside Heights beach at Hiering Avenue beginning at dusk. Call 800-732-7467 for more information. 

Friday, July 6

The Horizon Healthcare of New Jersey Blue to You Van will be at Manchester's branch of the Ocean County Library from 9 to 11 a.m. Information on healthy living and questions about policies will be given. Call 732-657-7600 for more information. 

Saturday, July 7

Ocean First will host a document shredding day at its Turst Office, 2915 Ridgeway Rd. from 9 to 11 a.m. Up to 300 lbs. of shreddable materials will be acceptable.
