2. The Jersey Shore Kids Consignment Sale at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Consignors can bring gently used kids merchandise such as clothes, toys and games that will then be sold on their behalf. Call 732-901-7000, ext. 111 for more information.

3. staff and members of the Astronomical Society of the Toms River Area will have telescopes set up to catch a glimpse of the night sky from 8 to 10 p.m. Saturday. Call 732-255-0343 for more information on the free program. 

4. The Lakehurst Historical Society will be open Sunday from 12 to 3 p.m. Housed in the oldest Roman Catholic Church in Ocean County on 300 Center St. in Lakehurst, the society contains artifacts from the borough's rich history. 5. Science Saturdays at the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences will focus on the osprey from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Light refreshments follow a presentation. Call 609-494-1241 for more information.
