Betty Anderson Of Manchester Dies At 94

Betty Anderson, 94, of Manchester, died Sunday at Community Medical Center with her loving family at her side.

Born in Kentucky, she lived in Waldwick before moving to Leisure Village West, Manchester in 1990 when she retired.

Mrs. Anderson was a telephone operator for Lehn & Fink in Montvale. She volunteered at NJ Botanical Gardens and participated in many club activities at Leisure Village West. Betty was an avid Mets fan who also enjoyed hiking.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Norman Stucker who was killed in World War II and by Charles R. Anderson, her husband of 63 years, by her son, Donald Stucker, by her grandson, Charles Scott Stucker. She was also predeceased by her parents, Charles and Myrtle Scott, by her sisters Marylee and Priscilla Scott and by her brother, Charles B. Scott.

Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Stucker of Manchester, her sister-in-law, Louise Scott of Kentucky and her caregivers, Joan and Kathy.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Lakehurst. Interment will follow in Brigadier General Wlm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of New Jersey, 26 Haddonfield Rd. Cherry Hill, NJ 08002.
