No Cell Phone Tower in Whiting

Last week a surveyor was surveying property located near the corner of Harry Wright Blvd and New York Ave. He told me that AT&T is planning to erect a cell phone tower on that site which is called Roosevelt City Blvd. I am objecting to this proposal as not only are there health concerns from the microwaves emitted from cell phone towers but, also it poses a threat to the wildlife in the the Pine Barrens.
My family has lived here for over 25 years and every summer we see rattlesnakes and pine snakes in both our yard and on the streets in the neighborhood. Just this past summer there was an owl nesting in one of our trees in our yard. There are numerous turtles and tree frogs living in the Pine Barrens which are on the list of endangered species .The tower could possibly add to the extinction of many species of animals.
The cell phone tower would also be an eyesore to the beautiful landscape.
I hope other concerned residents speak up and block this cell phone tower.
You can do so by contacting the Pinelands Commission and Manchester Town Hall.
