6 Arrested for Alleged DWIs, 1 in Jail, Police Say

The following information was provided by the Manchester Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Six people were arrested last week for allegedly driving drunk, including one man who ended up in the Ocean County Jail, Manchester Township Police said.

Rashad S. Anderson, 26, of Lakewood, was hit with a DWI charge when he was arrested at the Ridgeway Fire Department on Aug. 24, police said.

But Anderson was also carrying drugs and didn’t go quietly, police said, adding possession of a controlled dangerous substance and resisting arrest charges to the list against him, and he was taken to the Ocean County Jail in default of bail.
