Arrests Made in Monday Night Lakehurst Disturbance, More Expected

Group of about 20 involved in disturbance near Route 70 and Orchard Street

Four arrests were made after Lakehurst Police were dispatched to a Route 70 corner Monday night for disturbance call involving about 20 individuals. 

According to Sgt. Ronald Heinzman, officers arrived at the corner of Route 70 and Orchard Street at about 10:30 p.m. and found the group "yelling and screaming."

"At this point the disturbance was heated, but not physical," Heinzman said in a press release.

Officers from the Manchester Police Department were also dispatched to the area to assist with crowd control.

At about 11 p.m., 11 police cars from Lakehurst and Manchester lined Route 70 near the scene and access to Orchard Street from the state highway was blocked.

The following arrests were made as police attempted to calm the crowd and investigate the situation, Heinzman said:

  • Lamont Lett, 37, of Manchester, charged with disorderly conduct and harassment.
  • Janice Lett, 38, of Manchester, charged with disorderly conduct and harassment.
  • Loucadia Lett, 18, of Manchester, charged with disorderly conduct and harassment.
  • Unnamed 15-year-old, charged with disorderly conduct.

The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected, Heinzman said.
