Bank Robbery Investigated at TD Bank
The robber hit a Toms River branch around noon Monday, police said.
Toms River police are investigating a reported bank robbery at the TD Bank branch on Route 9, just south of Route 70.
The robbery occurred just before noon Monday.
Police Chief Michael Mastronardy said the suspect in the robbery is being described as a white male around 30 years old, 5 feet, 2 inches tall, with a stubby goatee, wearing dark pants, a plaid red hunters' cap and black gloves.
He ran toward the McDonald's in the area, police said.
No weapon was shown in the robbery, said Mastronardy.
