Brief: Manchester Man Indicted in Monmouth Prescription Fraud

Jason A. Pinto, 36, charged with forgery and obtaining a controlled dangerous substance by fraud

A Manchester Man was indicted last week by a Monmouth County grand jury on two counts stemming from improperly obtaining a narcotic drug.

Jason A. Pinto, 36, of Pulham Court in Manchester, was charged by the grand jury on May 18 with forgery, a third degree crime,  when he allegedly used a prescription blank without authorization on Dec. 10, 2010 in Long Branch.

The second count — obtaining a controlled dangergous substance by fraud — alleges that the prescription blank was then used to acquire oxycodone through "misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, deception or subterfuge."
