Cedar Glen Volunteer Hospitalized Following Fall from Ladder

74-year-old was trimming a tree and lost footing, police said

A 74-year-old Cedar Glen Homes maintenance volunteer was airlifted to a regional trauma center after taking a 15-foot fall from a ladder Thursday morning.

James Dixon of Holly Street was on a ladder attempting to cut a tree limb on Willow Street — on Cedar Glen property — when he "lost his footing and fell" at about 9:15 a.m., said Manchester Police Lt. Vincent Manco.

Along with patrol officers, paramedics from Quality Medical Transport and MONOC responded to the scene to treat Dixon.
