Cocaine in a Sock, Heroin in a Bra

We're sensing a theme with this week's OMGs

Each week, Patch takes a peek at some of the more surprising, shocking, stunning and occasionally silly police-related incidents reported throughout New Jersey for "OMGs from NJ PDs."

Victoria's Secret ... Is that She's Got Heroin:When police arrested a woman in Little Silver for alleged shoplifting, they reportedly found she had more than illicit behavior to hide. . What ever happened to tissue paper?

Who Says You Can't Bring a Knife to a Gunfight? We thought we were really clever with that line until we realized a Trenton patrolman had already said it, when telling Trentonian.com about how a pizza place employee threw several kitchen knives at gun-toting bad guys who were trying to rob the restaurant. OK ... well, then, who says you can't bring an already-used line to an OMG intro?

OMG, That's a Good Job: Most of the time, when highlighting stunning and surprising police and emergency news, we're pointing out crimes gone wrong (or at least gone weird). But once in a while, we like to say "OMG, what heroes" about people in our communities who've done great deeds. , and read about how a team of bystanders may have saved the life of a senior citizen who'd crashed her car into a building and become stuck. When they realized gas was leaking, the bystanders broke into the car, and (after one, a cardiologist, determined it was OK) moved her to safety. Great job, all involved.

False Alarm: That is one expensive iPad. Warren Township Police took a call from a woman frantically reporting a purse, iPad and jewelry valued at more than $50,000—possibly as much as $100,000, she said—had been stolen from her vehicle as it was parked at a shopping center parking lot. —it turned out her housekeeper had placed most of the missing jewelry safely at the victim's home. Also, the actual value of the stolen items? $15,000.

You Don't Tug on Superman's Cape: It's been a few weeks since we had an appearance from the Superman's Cape category. But we've got some contenders for it—.  OMG Tip of the Week—heck, Tip of the Always—when the police arrive, it's time to begin behaving.

He Just Loves Being in Court: At least, that's the explanation we're going with for the case of a. He loves the law, and now he'll get to spend more time dealing with it.
