Drunken Driver Had Truck with Fake Plates, Police Say

The following information was provided by the Lakehurst Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Seaside Heights resident who was driving an unregistered truck with fake plates was drunk and high on painkillers when stopped by officers on Route 70 last week, Lakehurst Police said.

Officers Casey McPartlin and Joseph DePasquale stopped Jamie N. Natale, 43, around 11 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Route 70 and Route 547 after the officers ran the truck’s plates and found they were fakes, police said.

Natale was charged with driving while intoxicated, being under the influence of oxycodone, refusal to submit to a breath test, being an unlicensed driver, having an unregistered vehicle, driving without insurance and fictitious plates, and was released pending a court date.
