First 2 DWI Arrests of 2014 Reported

The following information was provided by the Manchester Township Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

New Year's Eve went by without incident, but it didn't take long for Manchester Police to make their first drunken driving arrests of 2014.

Two drivers were arrested in the first two weeks of the new year for allegedly driving drunk, including one Manchester resident.

James L. Distephano, 58, was arrested after being stopped on Northampton Boulevard on Jan. 11.

A day later, Kevin J. Nice, 43, of Lanoka Harbor, was arrested after he was stopped on Commonwealth Boulevard.

Both men were charged with driving while intoxicated; they were each released on a court summons.
