A composite sketch is attached of a possible suspect who was attempting to force entry into a house in the Manchester development

The Manchester Township Police are currently investigating several forced entry burglaries that have occurred in the Pine Lake Park section of the township.

The suspect or suspects are using a pry tool to force entry through the exterior doors of aresidence, including sliding glass doors, police said.

A composite sketch is attached of a possible suspect who was attempting to force entry into a house in the Manchester development. The suspect was trying to gain entry through a sliding glass door, just as he was observed by a witness, police said.

The suspect then immediately fled the area.

The burglaries have been occurring in the daytime when the suspect or suspects believe the homes are not occupied, police said.

Police are asking residents to remain vigilant and call the main police number (732)657-6111 if they observe any suspicious person or persons in the area.

If you have a home video surveillance system and observe any recorded suspicious activity, report it to the police.

If you believe you can identify the suspect in the composite sketch, please notify the police. Residents are urged to keep all their doors and windows locked, including your vehicles.

mike February 28, 2013 at 09:45 PM
yes.....a simple hit in the head with a hammer to this bum would work just as well.
Bryan February 28, 2013 at 10:06 PM
Just how many times has he struck before we get notified?
reptileking628 February 28, 2013 at 10:34 PM
shot gun blast is more effective then a hammer
Nj Ghost February 28, 2013 at 11:12 PM
Right rep.... Never bring a hammer to a gunfight......How delusional some are to think that a hammer would be the choice weapon....snicker
Nj Ghost February 28, 2013 at 11:45 PM
Right Mike....unless your thor and he's bigger, stronger, younger or so high on drugs that he likes the hits with your little hammer providing he doesn't have a gun also.

I don't know what town you live in (Don't Tread On Me) but in Manchester I have NEVER had a problem with the police. Today I left my driveway and forgot something and had to go around the block and in just that time I saw two Manchester cops. I am not related to any cops in Manchester or have any in my family, so I am not biased. When my house alarm has gone off in the past, they are here quickly and I have even been approached at 3 a.m. because I was putting stuff in my car getting ready to go to work. You never see a Manchester cop that doesn't represent their uniform well, in-shape, like they could handle the physical aspects of being a cop when need be. They have bought coffee for the little old lady in front of me in line at the store or the military member in uniform. In 6 six years, I have been exposed to many different experiences with the Manchester cops and I am appreciative of all they do. Sorry your one experience may not have been a good one, but try and see the good and everything that they do.

Someone was lurking around on my street this afternoon that looked like he was up to something looking around constantly, not sure if it was the suspect - as it was my neighbor that spotted him around my house while I was at work. Hopefully this guy is caught soon and doesn't cause anyone harm.
Albert Andrews March 02, 2013 at 07:26 AM
This guy will wind up taking a bullet and then the hero home owner will be turned into a criminal gun owner by the media.... as far as MPD goes, I have nothing bad to say about them, they do their job and do it well. Better then many other PDs out there!

Two weeks ago Sunday 5PM I saw two figures running around the back sides of homes on Buckinghamd Dr in Leisure Knoll. I called the cops and they came right away and did a sweep of the area. They saw lots of foot prints in the snow, but of course the figures were gone by then.
