Fort Dix Training this Weekend Will Include Loud Explosions

Sheriff's office alerting public that this is "only training"

The Ocean County Sheriff 911 Facebook page is alerting Ocean and Burlington County residents that they should not be alarmed if they hear loud explosions this weekend.

"This weekend Fort Dix will be conducting a training detail involving loud explosions. This detail is only training!" says the Facebook page.

I think the residents already alerted the OC Sheriff Dept. first. The booms already started Friday around 6PM.

Yes, John...I heard them since dinner time last night also and I was searching for info if it were indeed training. No info available until now.

I would love to no what type of training like is it air to ground or ect. And what's making it go boom ?

Chris: I know its not training ordnance from planes, only area for that in this neck of the woods would be Warren Grove range off Rt 539 in Stafford Twp. Its just ground warfare training as they do every year.
