I too hope he can remain unidentified unless he feels it is necessary to come forward. the guy did a good thing, live and let live.
under the guise of trying to give him a reward or a special award someone could try to seek him out just to use him in a lawsuit.

Well you are either better thanks Suzie or never been sued and or out in the real world.
If there is money in it there is no boundary. Either way he will loose a day or more pay at supeona depositions and other proceedings even if he is not named. Then cross examined b the leach defending the party of the second part and Put and placed on the defensive. Not worth it....not worth hiring handicap people, not worth hiring minority workers, not worth doing anything since these lawsuits always hurt the guy just doing the right thing.

If the high hat wearing jerks were watching 2 of their 900 kids in the first place this never would have happened. OR if the person driving the vehicle was actually obeying traffic laws it wouldn't have happened either. I swear that town needs to just fall into the earth and be forgotten about forever. It's disgusting.

I looked at this article on the Lakewood Scoop...it clearly states that the man did NOT want to be identified, however almost every post left a name...then on top of it, a commenting party asked that the man not be called a "Samaritan", and told people to "Google the meaning"...SERIOUSLY??!!?? The word was not meant in any way to be used as a Religious reference...I'm all for believing in what you may, but to the rest of the world, being known as a GOOD SAMARITAN is a compliment...shame on that reader for making it mean anything but...

100% correct. NJ may have laws to protect good samaritans, but laws also have many loopholes.

They will be here soon enough. lakewood is maxed out. As they grow and have a million kids who grow up they will need to expand into Brick.

WOULD have to agree with fed up & . & voice of reason I have found there careless driving by witnessing it & checking out there vehicles they aim there vehicles no regards for there own people or anyone else The others have so many kids they cant keep track ( I feel sorry for the children) & than when they pass away they just have another on our dime ..This is fact..Not trying to be ignorant Cause they get away with .Just like them all steading to be rabbis .That town should be 100% religious & no crime That's why Lakewood is broke not too many people pay taxes there .. No one wants to do nothing about that why moved south in ocean county

The folks of lakewood are already in Brick, just look around. They are all over Shop rite, Walmart etc. they are buying up all the condos and renting them to the govt. check people to get the values down. Its only a matter of time they will be building those large buildings to teach in and pay NO TAXES. Then they will take over the gov. as they did in lakewood and ruin everything.

Lakewood is a disturbing town and 90+% of people avoid traveling through it.
"The Lakewood Residents" as you called them, are ignorant and have no regard for other peoples property. I worked in that town, unfortunately, for a few years and feared for my life, and my vehicle every darn day. It's one thing if you want to live in filth, be rude and ignorant and oblivious to your own "people" but to the rest of us, they need a little slap... They are disgusting.

I'm so surprised at the tone of these comments. i actually have been working in Lakewood for the last 5 years and while the traffic can get really bad, I have been pretty impressed with the people that I've come into contact with. I can also tell you (from the line of work that I'm in) they they absolutely pay taxes. Come on folks, this is America in 2013, are we so intimidated by people who are different than we are that we actually need to resort to such hate and ignorance? If so then I fear for the world my kids will grow up in, if my own neighbors are spewing hatred and nastiness. I thought we were better than that.

Lets see your thorough research that proves your statement. The truth is, you have done no research. How about the immense amount of illegal aliens in Lakewood. They are not paying taxes yet they can get free healthcare for their children. Or how about the blacks, Latinos and Caucasians of different faiths who are not working and collecting government assistance. There is more that is contributing to this town's economic spiral than the "people in tall hats with their 900 kids" So before you post something like this on a website, you should do some research. All you are doing is insulting the intelligence of it readers!!!
