Lakehurst Police Arrest Borough Man On CDS Charges

Lakehurst police were already looking for Kenneth Kunz on an outstanding warrant for shoplifting when they arrested him on possession on a controlled dangerous substance, Police Chief Eric. S. Higgins said.

Sgt. Matthew Kline was on routine patrol when he spotted Kunz on the 400 block of Manapaqua Avenue. When the officer approached Kunz, Kunz discarded four Suboxone films from his front pocked, the chief said.

Kunz already had a $500 outstanding warrant for shoplifting several bottles of alcoholic beverages from Baileys Liquors in Lakehurst, Higgins said.

He was arrested for the outstanding warrant and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was processed and released from police headquarters after posting cash bail on the shoplifting charge, the chief said.
