Lakehurst Police Blotter: Outstanding Warrants, DWI and Threats

The borough's arrest blotter from March 25 to April 5

Lakehurst Police Department Sgt. Ron Heinzman reported the following arrests and charges in the borough from March 25 to April 5:

March 25

Daniel Sutter, 23, of Lakehurst, was arrested by Officers Jesse Hoydis and Matthew Kline on four outstanding Lakehurst Municipal Court warrants totalling $1,486.

The first attempt by police to take the suspect into custody was unsuccessful, police reported, as Sutter refused to answer the door. Hoydis returned to the home "in an undercover capacity," police said, and Sutter opened the door and was taken into custody. He was processed and released pending a municipal court date.

March 27

Joseph P. Stevens, 54, of Lakehurst, was arrested at his home by Officer Iain James on seven outstanding municipal court warrants totalling $2,356. According to police, he was lodged in the Ocean County Jail. Stevens had two warrants issued by Howell municipal court, and one each from Lakehurst, Toms River, Jackson, Brick and Manchester municipal courts, police said. 

March 28

Douglas G. Hart Jr., 27, of Lakehurst, was arrested and charged with violation of a court order issued in Little Egg Harbor. Hart was processed in Lakehurst and turned over to Little Egg Harbor police.

March 29

Terryance B. Wise, 21, Bryan Whitley, 20, and Richard Erving, 19, all of Lakehurst, were arrested charged following an Oak Street disturbance call.

According to police, Wise was charged with disorderly conduct, obstruction of justice and resisting arrest with force. He was taken to Ocean County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Whitley was charged with harassment, disorderly conduct, terroristic threats including threatening to kill a police officer and resisting arrest with force. He was taken to Ocean County Jail in lieu of $12,500 bail.

Erving was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice. He was released pending a municipal court date.

Pepper spray was used on Wise and Whitley after they became combative with police, police said. Sgt. Brian Baranyay and Officers Ryan Valeri and Iain James performed the arrests.

March 30

Robert J. Pulignano, 45, of Whiting, and Yalanda J. Labarre, 40, of Neptune, were arrested by Officer Jesse Hoydis at the Budget Inn Motel and charged with simple assault and harassment after having a dispute. According to police, both were released pending a municipal court date. Sgt. Brian Baranyay and Officer Iain James assisted.

April 3

Kenneth O. Roach III, 33, of Lakehurst, was arrested and charged with DWI, refusal to take a breath test, reckless driving, possession of marijuana, possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance. The charges came after Roach was stopped on Oak Street by Officer Iain James. According to police, Officer Matthew Kline assisted.

April 5

Michaela P. Riffert, 18, of Lakehurst, was arrested by Officer Ryan Valeri and charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct following an altercation in front of her home on Union Avenue. Riffert was released pending a municipal court date. Sgt. Brian Baranyay and Officer Gregory Lauretta assisted.
