Lakehurst Police Charge Pennsylvania Man With Possession Of Steroids, Marijuana

Lakehurst police recently charged a Philadelphia man with possession of a number of steroids and a quantity of marjijuana, Police Chief Eric S. Higgins said.

Officer Joseph DePasquale stopped Thomas Gallagher, 30, at 12:20 a.m. on July 11 for speeding and failure to maintain lane, the chief said.

When DePasquale approached the 1996 Ford pickup, he detected the odor of marijuana in the truck. Further investigation resulted in the seizure of anabolic steroids - including Testosterone Propionate, Trenbolone, Stanozolol, Oxandrolone and Nolvadex, Higgins said.

The officer also found hypodermic needles and a quantity of marijuana in the truck, the chief said.

Gallagher was arrested at the scene and transported to Lakehurst Police Headquarters. He was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of hypodermic needles and five counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, the chief said.

Gallagher was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River after he was unable to post the $75,000 bail set by Municipal Court Judge Damian G. Murray, Higgins said.
