Lakehurst Police Collect Hundreds of Toys for Kids

Donations being accepted until 2 p.m. Christmas Eve

Members of the Lakehurst Police Department and the Lakehurst Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 179 collected over 300 toys during their annual holiday toy drive, Chief of Police Eric Higgins said.

"Thanks to the generosity of our community members, these toys will be presented to needy families in Lakehurst," the chief said.

Santa, along with members of the FOP and fire department, will deliver toys on Christmas Eve and last minute donations will be accepted until 2 p.m. at the fire house or police station, Higgins said.
