Lakehurst Woman in Stable Condition After Severe Wednesday Crash

Motorist from Lakehurst struck a guard rail and utility pole around 3 a.m. Wednesday in Manchester

A Lakehurst woman was air lifted to an area hospital after her car struck a utility pole in the Ridgeway section of Manchester early Wednesday morning, police reported. 

According to Manchester Police, Nicole E. Ientile, 23, of Lakehurst, was travelling north on County Route 571 when her Chevy Impala left the roadway just north of the intersection of Renaissance Boulevard at about 3 a.m. and collided with a guard rail and utility pole. No other vehicles were involved.

A portion of the roadway was closed for about three hours following the crash, police reported. MONOC paramedics transported Ientile by air to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune where police said she was admitted with head and shoulder injuries and was listed in stable condition.

According to police, members of the Ridgeway and Manchester Volunteer Fire Departments, Manchester First Aid Squad and the Ocean County Criminalistics Unit responded to the scene. 

Manchester Police Patrolmen Antonio Ellis and Paul Bachovchin are investigating the crash.
