Man Injured After Driving Car Into Tree In Manchester

A 22-year-old man was injured Saturday when he drove his car into a tree in Manchester, police said.

Adam CampbellΒ of Jackson was flown to Jersey Shore Medical Center to be treated, police said.

At 11:34 p.m., Manchester Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Routes 547 south and 571. The investigation revealed that a 2007 Ford Mustang was traveling north on 547 that was operated by Campbell, police said.

The 2007 Ford Mustang left the roadway and struck a tree.

Assisting Manchester Police on Scene were Ridgeway, and Manchester Fire Companies, Quality Medical Transport, Monoc Paramedics, the Joint Base Police, Ocean County CIU, and The Ocean County Prosecutors Office.

The collision is currently under investigation by Ptl. Bachovchin and Ptl. O’Hare of the Traffic Safety Unit of Manchester Twp Police Dept.
