Toms River Man Indicted on Multiple Burglary Charges
Man stole jewelry from four area homes, according to an Ocean County grand jury
A string of burglaries and thefts in Manchester, Toms River and Brick in January were the work of a Toms River man, according to an indictment returned by an Ocean County grand jury on July 1.
Robert C. Meloni, 46, of Greenview Way, Toms River, is accused of breaking into and stealing jewelry from a Manchester house on Jan. 9, two Brick homes on Jan. 11 and a Toms River residence on Jan. 13.
Joanne T. Mayer, 45, who lives with Meloni, is accused of possessing some of the stolen jewelry in Jackson on Jan. 11 and dealing in stolen property.

Both are being held in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of bail.
