Manchester Man Arrested In Berkeley For $1,434 in Warrants

A Manchester man was arrested in Berkeley recently because he had more than $1,400 in outstanding warrants, police said.

According to police:

On February 20th at 5:40 p.m., Ptl. Jonathan Sperber and Ptl. Jason Malley conducted a motor vehicle stop on Mule Rd near Plaza Drive. It was determined that the driver, identified as Mathew Forcier 27 of Manchester, had a suspended driver’s license.

It was also determined that Forcier had an outstanding arrest warrant in the amount of $1,434.00 issued by Toms River.  In addition the passenger of the vehicle identified as Thomas DeMayo, 48, of Ocean Gate, also had an outstanding arrest warrant in the amount of $250.00 from Ocean Township (Waretown). As a result both subjects were placed under arrest and transported to police H.Q. 

Once at police H.Q. Forcier was turned over the Toms River Police Department and DeMayo was released by Ocean Twp.

Im surprised Berkeley didnt issue a summons for having a warrant and release them.
