Manchester Man Charged With Drug Possession After Traffic Stop
Lakehurst police said they discovered marijuana and a pipe in man's car
A Manchester man was arrested on drug charges Sunday after a traffic stop in Lakehurst.
Christopher Mulligan, 42, of Manchester was initially pulled over at 8 a.m. Sunday for speeding on Route 70, Lakehurst police said. During the stop, Officer Matthew Kline discovered marijuana and a pipe used to smoke it, police said.
Mulligan was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and speeding.

He was transported to Lakehurst police headquarters, processed and released on his own recognizance.

A Jackson woman also was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop Sunday.
Heather Christen, 26, was arrested by Lakehurst police after an investigation following a stop for careless driving and failure to maintain a lane on Route 70 at 4 p.m. Sunday, police said.
Christen was found to be in possession of oxycodone pills, police said.
She was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, failure to maintain a lane and careless driving. Christen was processed at Lakehurt police headquarters and released after posting 10 percent of her $2,500 bail.
Additionally, her passenger, Eric Nannerello, 28, of Jackson was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Toms River. He was released after posting bail on the $350 warrant.
