Ocean County grand jury hands up indictments

A Manchester man has been indicted on theft charges stemming from an August incident in Manchester.

Adam W. Degraw was indicted by an Ocean County grand jury sitting in Toms River on one count of third-degree theft and one count of third-degree dealing in stolen property. He is accused of taking two flatscreen televisions and gold earrings from Steward W. Degraw Sr. between Aug. 2 and Aug. 22, according to the indictment. He is further accused of "selling, transferring, distributing, dispensing or otherwise disposing of stolen property" (specifically the two TVs) in Toms River and in Brick between Aug. 11 and Aug. 15.

Degraw posted bail -- his bail was set at $25,000 -- on Sept. 14.

Also indicted by the grand jury was Christopher M. Carrigan of Neptune, on a count of driving while under a license suspension for a second or subsequent DUI conviction.

According to the indictment, Carrigan was arrested on Sept. 27, 2011, in Manchester. He was released on $10,000 bail on Oct. 27, 2011.

Good job Manchester Police! These idiots would spend their time plotting how to steal other people's hard earned money and keepsakes instead of finding jobs and earning their own.
