Manchester Man Indicted on Drug, Weapons Charges

A Manchester man who was carrying a prohibited knife and drugs during a car stop last year has been indicted on multiple charges related to the incident, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office reported.

Joseph R. Sly, 23, who was arrested following a Dec. 28, 2012, car stop in Manchester, was indicted on two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, for a gravity knife and another knife, and a single count of possession of Suboxone.

When Sly was stopped, he had marijuana and Suboxone on him, police said, as well as the two knives.

He was released after his arrest on $2,500 bail.
