Manchester Police Blotter: Drug, DWI Charges

Manchester Police Capt. Lisa Parker reported the following arrests and charges from April 4 through April 8:

April 4

Brian J. Love, 35, of Toms River was arrested and charged with hindering and having an outstanding warrant by Ptl. Peter Manco near Route 70 and Washington Avenue. According to police, Love paid $341 bail and received a summons.

April 6

Angela Mezzina, 25, of Waretown, was arrested and charged with DWI after being stopped near 108 Lacey Road by Ptl. Peter Manco. Mezzina received a summons, according to police.

Michael Ponsiek, 31, of Waretown, was arrested and charged with DWI after being stopped by Sgt. Robert Dolan on Holly Hill Road. Ponsiek received a summons, according to police.

April 7

Douglas P. Smith, 36, of Manchester, was arrested on an outstanding warrant by Ptl. Christian Nazario. According to police, Smith was taken to Ocean County Jail.

April 8

Melvin Torres, 19, of Lakewood, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, under 50 grams, on Route 571 near Ridgeway Elementary School by Ptl. Adam Guker. Torres was issued a summons, according to police.

Axel Cruz, 19, of Lakewood, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana, also on Route 571 near Ridgeway Elementary School by Ptl. Christopher Cerullo. According to police, Cruz posted bail pending a court date.

Louis Rondinella, 63, of Toms River, was arrested and charged with DWI following a traffic stop by Ptl. Patrick Cervenak on Route 37 near Colt Place. According to police, Rondinella was issued a summons.
