Manchester Police Recruit Achieves Distinction

Patrick Mabie is heading into the township's field training program prior to joining the department's patrol division.

Manchester Township’s newest police academy graduate was recognized this week for a flawless performance during a portion of his five-month training process.

Patrick Mabie, who served in the Marines prior to joining Manchester’s force, scored a perfect 60-for-60 during firearms qualifying as part of Ocean County’s 96th police recruit class, which graduated Sept. 18.

Mabie, a Toms River North and Ocean County College grad, will spend the next 12 weeks in Manchester’s field training program, and will enter the department’s patrol division after passing the township’s training.
