Police Report No New Information in Pine Lake Park Burglaries

Manchester Police report jewelry stolen from home; two homes were robbed on Tuesday of electronics, jewelry and money

Manchester Police Lt. Lisa Parker said on Friday that police have no new information on the third burglary in as many days in the Pine Lake Park section of Manchester.

The third home was burglarized on Thursday during the day, police reported, and was similar in nature to two other burglaries in the same area on Tuesday in that the master bedroom was targeted.

On Friday, Parker said that no further information was available and that the victim did not report the amount of missing property.

The Manchester Detective Bureau and the Ocean County Sheriff's Department Crime Investigation Unit have responded to assess the scene of a reported burglary on the 1800 block of Fourth Avenue. A K-9 unit also responded, Parker said.

Parker originally said on Thursday that an unknown amount of jewelry was missing and police were waiting to speak with the homeowners to determine if anything else was taken.

Parker said that the police will release more information as it becomes available.

This third burglary comes two days after two homes in the Pine Lake Park section of Manchester were burglarized. During daytime hours Tuesday, the Manchester Police Department reported that the suspects forced their way into the homes, located in the southwest portion of Pine Lake Park on Broadway Boulevard and Southampton Boulevard, through the front and rear doors.

More than $11,000 of assorted jewelry, electronics, games and U.S. currency was taken, according to police. The homes' master bedrooms were specifically targeted.

Pine Lake Park was hit by burglaries around the holidays, but Parker said that incidents are likely unrelated. "As far as them being related, I don't think we could draw that conclusion," she said.

Police are urging residents to report suspicious vehicles or people in the area. Those with information about the burglaries should contact Detective Chris Hemhauser at 732-657-2009, Ext. 4207.
