Manchester Police Seek Alleged Armed Robber

The man tried to hit a gas station on Route 530 over the summer, police said.

Two months after he attacked a gas station attendant at Jersey Gas on Route 530, an alleged armed robber remains unidentified, and Manchester Township Police are asking for the public's help.

The alleged robber, who police said tried to disguise himself by wearing a pair of pantyhose over his head with the legs still attached, hit the gas station just before 10 p.m. on July 3, jumping an attendant from behind.

During the ensuing fight, the alleged robber whipped out a handgun and told the attendant, “Give me the money,” police said, but the victim, who suffered face and leg injuries in the process, fought off the would-be robber.
