Manchester Woman Charged With Hindering Her Own Apprehension

During the stop, Sarah Postorino provided a false name to officers

A 43-year-old Manchester resident was arrested and charged for hindering her own apprehension Wednesday, police said.

Sarah Postorino, of the Pine Ridge development in Whiting, was arrested by Officer Steven Wendruff after she was stopped on Route 530 near Manchester Boulevard, police said.

During the stop, Postorino provided a false name to officers. The name she provided had outstanding warrants and she was subsequently placed under arrest, police said.

During the investigation, Officer Wendruff learned that Postorino was not who she said she was, and additional warrants were found for her real name. Postorino had four outstanding warrants, totaling $3,955.55, police said.

She was issued several motor vehicle summonses and charged with hindering her own apprehension. Postorino was transferred over to the New Jersey State Police. This matter is pending court action.
