No Injuries in Crash that Downed Pole on Route 530

The road remains closed following the early-morning crash.

A Camden County man wasn't hurt when he crashed a van head-on into a utility pole on Route 530 Friday morning, though the road remains closed because of the damaged pole, Manchester Township Police said.

Michael A. Eitel Jr., 21, of West Berlin, slammed into the pole around 7:22 a.m., police said, snapping the pole and leaving the van with heavy front-end damage.

Eitel, who police said walked away from the crash without injury, refused treatment at the scene.
