Detectives are seeking the public's help in locating one of two suspects in a Nov. 24 armed robbery that occurred in New Egypt, authorities said Thursday.
A Pemberton man identified as James Warthen, 22, is wanted in connection with the armed robbery of an 18-year-old man in the Oakford Lake section of New Egypt.
Arrest warrants for Warthen, as well as a juvenile who was also a suspect, were issued Nov. 29, according to Al Della Fave, spokesman for the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office. The juvenile, also from Pemberton, was apprehended Dec. 1 at the Wawa on Jacobstown Road in New Egypt.
Warthen is described as a black male, five-foot-eight inches tall and weighing approximately 155 pounds. Bail has been set in advance of his apprehension at $100,000 cash.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Warthen is asked to contact Det. Brant Uricks or Det. Jason Reilly of the Plumsted Township Police Department at 609-758-7185.
Do not approach the subject or attempt to detain him, Della Fave warned.
