According to Manchester Township Police, the driver involved in a one-vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon on Route 539 suffered only minor injuries.
"On December 22, 2012, at 3:54 p.m., Manchester Township Police received a call of a single-vehicle crash on Route 539, in the area of mile post 26," said Lt. Vincent Manco.
When Manchester patrol officers arrived, they found that a 1991 Toyota Corolla which had been operated by Amanda Waller, 21, of Forked River, had left the roadway and collided with a utility pole. As a result of the crash, Waller sustained minor injuries and was transported by first aid to Community Medical Center in Toms River for treatment.
"The crash caused Manchester Police to close County Route 539 for approximately forty minutes. The accident is being investigated by Patrolman George Smith of the Manchester Police Patrol Bureau," said Manco.
